The Conferment of Degrees Ceremony for new Masters and Doctors from all faculties of the University of Jyväskylä will be held on 19–21 May 2023.

This survey is part of the University's facility strategy renewal project. The purpose of the survey is to collect the users' experiences with facilities and spatial solutions at the university.

The proposed scoring model would ease the pressures on general upper secondary students and allow them to focus on subjects interesting them. The new scoring model for certificate-based admission will be published in autumn 2023.

On 4 May 2023, JYU started to provide its degree certificates in an electronic format.

In total ten persons applied for the position of the Rector of the University of Jyväskylä by the deadline on 7 May.

The University of Jyväskylä was ranked 585 in the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), which compares more than 20,000 degree-awarding universities. This means that JYU is among the best 2.9 per cent.

The campus tennis courts are located next to the Liikunta building and are available to university students and staff starting from Monday, May 15.

The student email service will change from Gmail to Outlook gradually during the year 2023. The process has started in May and will be completed by the end of the year. You can also ask to change to Outlook right away.
