In the current situation when the fear of virus infections in the public is common, it is good to remember that some viruses can be extremely beneficial for mankind, even save lives.
The University of Jyväskylä has decided to continue preventive actions related to the pandemic. The situation is changing rapidly and the instructions are kept updated as soon as possible.
On 16 March, the Finnish Government outlined that universities will be closed and contact teaching stopped from 18 March. Accordingly, all JYU facilities have been closed from 17 March.
The Student Life team has compiled some instructions and advice to support you in this exceptional situation. Please read these instructions and share this information with your fellow students.
Contact teaching at the University of Jyväskylä and teaching practice at the Teacher Training School (Normaalikoulu) will be suspended from 16 March 2020 to 22 March 2020.
