Simplified Model for Risk Evaluation
The magnitude of general risks pertaining to an event is evaluated on the scale 1-5. The evaluations are indicative only. The magnitude of risks is determined by both the likelihood of the risk and the gravity of the consequences, as described in the table below:
Risk levels 1-2 are acceptable and do not require any further actions. Risk level 3 indicates a somewhat higher risk and measures to decrease or eliminate the risk are advisable. Risk levels 4-5 indicate a high risk and call for immediate action by the event organiser in order to diminish or eliminate the risk.
There is no obligation to fill in or submit the table to anybody, but it can serve as a simple tool in planning an event. Empty spaces can be filled for the evaluation of specific risks known to the organiser.
