We provide education services to the Faculty of Education and Psychology to support the work of teachers and students at the Jyväskylä and Kokkola campuses. We participate in the preparation and implementation of decisions and documents concerning the faculty, its departments and its students.
Our core services for students include:
- study counselling
- advice on study plans from the start of studies right through to graduation
- (limited) guidance on the use of student information systems and support for course enrolment
- advice on such topics as recognition of prior learning, study rights, accessibility, teacher qualifications and issues related to the personal study plan when nearing graduation
- Tutoring coordination
Our core services for teachers and units include:
- curriculum work (expert support for preparation and development, coordination, system-level maintenance)
- syllabus work (expert support for preparation and development, system-level maintenance, booking facilities)
- providing guidance and information on academic administration matters
- support for the development of education
In addition, we support the faculty and its departments in the following matters
- student recruitment and applicant guidance
- implementation of student admissions
- orientation for new students
- internships and teaching practices
- development of available study opportunities
- completion of studies
- preparation of contracts for part-time teachers
