The University Art and Culture Group offers the university community two free, dramatized tours of the Seminaarinmäki campus. There are 50 spots available per performance. The route you walk together becomes a stage where history comes to life through songs, stories, humor, and moving scenes.
During the tour, the audience will encounter people from different eras, share some collective moments, and see the familiar Seminaarinmäki from an entirely new perspective. The performance takes viewers from the early days of the teachers’ seminary to the present day and serves as a reminder of just how significant this community has been to the history of Finland as a whole.
Aaro Vuotila plays all the roles. The show’s music features his new compositions as well as beloved classics by P. J. Hannikainen.
The show is all of these things: a guided journey through time, a concert, and a theatrical performance—an experience that appeals to both first-time visitors and seasoned theatergoers alike. The tour includes some interactive elements, but participation in them is optional.

The tour departs from the parking lot of Villa Rana Cultural Center.

The performance includes walking in the Seminaarinmäki area, so dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. The route is not accessible. This is a Teatterikone production.
