Abstract: On the standard Sierpinski carpet equipped with the Euclidean distance and the natural Hausdorff measure, it is well-known that the $(1,p)$-Newton-Sobolev space becomes trivial.
In this talk, I will propose a new way of constructing $(1,p)$-``Sobolev spaces'' on the Sierpinski carpet for all $1<p<\infty$.
I will also explain some results related to the Ahlfors regular conformal dimension of the Sierpinski carpet.
This is based on joint work with Mathav Murugan (The University of British Columbia).
