Green Hydrogen Electrocatalysts: Scientific and Pseudo-Scientific Challenges

Ali Davoodi
Department of chemistry, University of Jyväskylä

Green hydrogen produced through electrochemical water splitting is widely regarded as a key enabler of the sustainable energy transition. While significant scientific advances have been made in green hydrogen electrocatalyst development, the field continues to face a range of challenges. In this talk, I will discuss some of the key scientific challenges in green hydrogen electrocatalysis research. I will also highlight other obstacles that I refer to as “pseudo-scientific” challenges. The talk will provide a perspective on both the opportunities and challenges associated with advancing and deploying green hydrogen technologies.
