Science for all: Mathematics resonates in music

At the event on 6 October we’ll delve into the fascinating connection between music and mathematics. This link was first discovered by Pythagoras in ancient Greece. There is a great deal of mathematics in rhythm, harmony and tonal systems. At the event, scientists who are also musicians will demonstrate how mathematics resonates in music. The experts in the event are Juha Lehrbäck, Josefiina Fagerlund and Suvi Saarikallio. Does playing music help also with learning maths?
