The recent uprising in Iran has become a major event with far‑reaching social and political effects. Several thousand people were reportedly killed (with verified numbers still rising) in the regime’s crackdown on protesters within just a few days, an event described as unprecedented in scale for state-directed violence globally. The consequences of these events continue to be felt across the country and internationally.
In this seminar, we will explore what has happened, why it matters, and how these developments may shape the future of Iran, the Middle East, and the wider international community.
