Welcome to a joint discussion event for the students and members of the work communities of the University of Jyväskylä and Jamk University of Applied Sciences at the Jyväskylä Paviljonki on 30 January at 9.00–11.00.

The event will include a panel discussion with the management of the higher education institutions and representatives of staff and students:

  • Rectors Jari Ojala and Vesa Saarikoski
  • Vice Rectors Marja-Leena Laakso, Pasi Raiskinmäki, Minna-Maaria Hiekkataipale and Mika Karjalainen
  • staff representatives Pia Piispanen and Matti Leppäniemi
  • student representatives Ismo Puhakka and Teemu Vasama

The topics for the panel discussion have been selected based on questions from staff and students. The topics include:

  • Background to the establishment of the university consortium and the opportunities it brings
  • How is the construction of the University consortium visible in concrete terms and on what schedule
  • The active and meaningful role of students and members of work communities in change

After the discussion, we will enjoy coffee together in the Paviljonki Event space.

Participate the event on site or via livestream

On-site registration is closed. Registration for the event is binding, so please come to the venue if you have registered. Refreshments will be provided according to the number of registered participants.

The event will be recorded and the recording will be available for viewing for two weeks after the event. The event will be held in Finnish and the recording will be subtitled in English.
