Courses for exchange students / Faculty of Mathematics and Science

Here is Faculty of Mathematics and Science course list and information for exchange students.

How to choose your courses

The course offer for the next academic year is published on this page in April.
If there is information about a course on this page, but no link for the course information page, it means that the course in new and the page has not been published yet or the list of courses is being updated.

You can choose courses that suit your study plan. Remember to check whether you meet the prerequisites for the courses. If you would like to choose "working in research group", you need to find a supervisor already at the application stage. Please contact the International Coordinator of the Faculty and inform her of your areas of interest. You can review the faculty's research groups beforehand and consider what skills and competencies you have for working in group. We also need to know how many ECTS credits you need from this work and whether it should be graded numerically. Normally, research group work is evaluated on a scale of pass/ fail. Working in a research group requires time, so you need to plan when you would able to do it. Scientific research work also usually needs to be reported. Be aware of the time you required for all of this. You need to be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Many of our practical courses and laboratory courses may be full. Please note that we might need to make changes to your LA because of this.

The first three digits of the course code indicate the host Department, the fourth digit expresses the level of studies:

  • xxxPxxx = Basic level course
  • xxxAxxx = Subject (intermediate) level course
  • xxxSxxx = Advanced level course (Master's)
  • xxxJxxx = Postgraduate (PhD) level course
