Facility reservation guidelines for students
Table of contents
These facility reservation guidelines apply to students. Students can book university's teaching, meeting and group work rooms. For example, sports facilities, restaurants, lobbies and computer classes are not available for students to book. The text "Restricted" on the dark red background on the calendar means that the room cannot be booked for the restricted time. Computer classes are still available to students when there are no reservations. Facility reservations are intended for study-related activities, such as group work and self-study. Reservations are free of charge for students. Reservations of the associations under JYY are still to be made in the KOVS system in accordance with the instructions made for the associations.
Reservations are made via the Navi map service either in the browser or in the MyJYU mobile app. It is also possible to make a reservation via the QR codes located next to the door of each room. Reservations can be made for maximum of 4h/day and five days ahead. Instructions for making a reservation can be found in the HelpJYU service portal.
It is important to delete your own reservations if they are not to be used, so that the room becomes available for others to use. Your own reservations appear in green on the calendar. If no one has arrived to the booked room for 15 minutes, the room is available for use until the next reservation. Teaching takes precedence over student bookings, so bookings may be canceled out of the way of necessary teaching reservations. The person who made the booking is always contacted about the cancellation of the booking.
Facilities must be left in the condition in which they were on arrival. For example, furniture that has been moved must be returned to its original place and garbage should be collected in the appropriate sorting bins.
