Application process step by step

1. Start getting ready early! Familiarise yourself with the admission criteria. Start acquiring the required documents in advance. Book and take a language test as soon as possible, if necessary.

2. Submit your online application form on Studyinfo.fi during the application period: Make sure to set aside enough time to do it. If you are not a citizen of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland, you may need to pay the application fee. Check your email (including the spam folder) often throughout the application process.

3. Upload the necessary attachments to your application form by the given deadline: Submit your attachments well in advance of the deadline to avoid the last-minute rush. Late submissions will not be considered.

4. Wait for news about the next step: After all the applications have been processed, you may be invited to an online interview. Once you receive your interview invitation, you will only have a few days to confirm your time slot. In case your application is deemed ineligible or will not proceed to the next phase, we will notify you.

5. Wait for the admissions decision: The University will make the admissions decisions in accordance with the admission criteria. You will be informed of the results via email by the given date.

6. Submit the required documents for verification if your admission is conditional: You must provide officially certified paper copies or electronic documents that meet our requirements. Please begin acquiring these documents right away if you have not already; this could take several months depending on the country/institution. If the required documents are not received by the deadline, your admission will be cancelled.

Who is eligible to apply

This section describes the general eligibility requirements for our English-taught master’s degree programmes. Please check the admission criteria for the exact requirements.

To be eligible, you must also submit a complete application. If any of the necessary attachments are missing, we will not be able to process your application.

Where to apply?

You will submit your application through the Studyinfo.fi website during the application period. The link will be added here once available.

How to submit your attachments

You must submit all the necessary documents for your application to be considered. You can find a full list of all the required attachments in the programme-specific admission criteria. We kindly ask you not to send any other documents, as these cannot be considered and only slow down the processing of your application.

Information regarding online admission interviews

As a part of the application process, you may invited to participate in an online admissions interview. The interviews are conducted on the video conference platform Zoom.

Please note that due to regulatory reasons, Zoom services are restricted in the following countries or regions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Ukraine (Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia regions). Please see further details at Zoom support website.

If an applicant resides in one of these countries or regions, and they are invited to an online admission interview, it is the applicant's responsibility to arrange participation to the interview, for instance by travelling to a country or region where the service can be used.

Individual arrangements

Individual arrangements are practical adjustments the University makes to remove or reduce a disadvantage related to the applicant's disability. You may require special arrangements if you have a diagnosed disability or medical condition that affects your ability to participate in the admission process, such as hearing impairment or dyslexia.

The instructions on how to apply for individual arrangements will be published here later this autumn.
