The University of Jyväskylä was again included in the Shanghai Ranking (Academic Ranking of World Universities, ARWU). This year the ranking was 501–600, while it was 601–700 last year.

In a recent ranking of the quality of teaching at higher education institutions by Times Higher Education, the University of Jyväskylä was judged one of the top 100 amongst 258 institutions in 18 countries across Europe.
