Humanities at the University of Jyväskylä was positioned 176–200 among the world’s best universities.

Education at the University of Jyväskylä was ranked 95th among the world’s best universities. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings listed 428 universities in the field of education. JYU’s position was almost the same as in 2017.

The University of Jyväskylä is again included in the Shanghai ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. Overall, JYU is placed among the top 500 universities in 11 academic subjects.
