Does your organization have a service, process, or other challenge that you would like to develop or rethink? Submit a project topic for students to tackle in the Digital Service Design course!
In the Digital Service Design course (5 ECTS), Master's students in Information Systems work in small groups to develop and reconceptualize services for companies and other organizations using digital service design methods.
The project topic does not need to concern an existing digital service. Digital service design methods can also be used to address broader organizational challenges related to services, customer or user experience, processes, ways of working, or the development of entirely new solutions. Organizations can therefore propose projects ranging from the development of an existing digital service to the design of a new service or solution.
The design process begins with understanding users. Students explore what users value, what they are trying to achieve, and how current services or ways of working support or hinder those goals. Based on user research, the teams identify development opportunities, generate new ideas, turn them into concepts and prototypes, and test them.
- There is no fee for organizations participating in the course project.
- The organization should participate, either on site or remotely, in the project kick-off and in the final presentation session at the end of the course, where students pitch the service concepts they have developed.
- We may not be able to include all proposed project topics in the course.
- NDAs are not used for course projects.
- The organization may use the final project report in its own activities.
- The course is offered annually from January to April. Project topics can be submitted throughout the year.
