Academy Research Fellow Chaoxiong Ye Elected as a Fellow of the Psychonomic Society

Dr. Chaoxiong Ye has been elected a Fellow of the Psychonomic Society in 2025, a distinction awarded annually to only a small group of researchers worldwide. The Fellowship program recognizes scholars who demonstrate strong independent research, methodological rigor, and clear potential for a national or international reputation in the psychological sciences.

Dr. Chaoxiong Ye is an Academy Research Fellow (PI) in the Department of Psychology at the University of Jyväskylä. He holds two PhDs from the University of Jyväskylä – in Cognitive Science (2018) and Psychology (2020) – and has earned four docentships across Finnish universities in cognitive neuroscience and cognitive psychology.

As a PI, Dr. Ye has secured more than €1.5 million in competitive project funding and currently supervises one postdoctoral researcher and nine doctoral candidates. He also contributes to the field through editorial board roles at BMC Psychology and PLOS ONE.

Dr. Ye has actively developed international collaborations, visiting leading universities such as Stanford University, the University of Chicago, the University of Maryland, Michigan State University, the University of Toronto, McMaster University, and the University of Edinburgh. He has also hosted scholars from numerous institutions worldwide, helping to enrich research exchange and strengthen the academic community at the University of Jyväskylä.
