The City of Jyväskylä’s management team for exceptional circumstances has prepared an exit plan for deactivating coronavirus recommendations and restrictions in the city. From now on, schools in Jyväskylä can arrange teaching as contact teaching again.

In compliance with its decision-making criteria, the University of Jyväskylä will still follow the acceleration phase operating model, in which JYU organises only essential contact teaching following safety arrangements. Entrance examinations will be held on the campus in May–June. Therefore, it is not possible to increase contact teaching in JYU facilities.

The activation of self-study facilities will be prepared so that the facilities are partly in use until the end of period 4. Self-study will be possible in the Fennicum and Opinkivi study facilities.

If Jyväskylä will move to the basic level, Jyväskylä University Library’s services and study facilities will become available normally. More information here.
