New students will start their studies in autumn in our 14 international programmes. Welcome to our community!

Accept your study place

  • Accept your study place by 10 July. If you are an international student, we recommend to accept it sooner to ensure you have enough time to apply for a residence permit, for example.
  • If you have received a tuition fee scholarship from JYU, please notice that the deadline for accepting the scholarship is 6 May at 3:00 pm (GMT+2).
  • All admitted applicants have received an automated email on 22 April at 8 pm (GMT+2) with a link to the Studyinfo portal, where the study place can be accepted or declined.

What about the coronavirus situation?

There is a possibility that due to the covid-19 pandemic, students who are not in Finland at the moment will not be able to arrive here for the start of their studies. The University of Jyväskylä is at the moment actively working on finding solutions to offer these students. We understand that the uncertain situation can be stressful and causes you worries. We want to emphasize that we are doing everything we can to find out the best solutions and to ensure the safe start of your studies.

We will keep you informed. Admitted students will get next email from us on 4 May with the latest updates on the issue. Updates will also be published on our website.
