Contact teaching suspended until the end of January
There are currently several infection chains that are connected to the students of the university, and the tracing of the chains is underway. The purpose of the suspension is to prevent related further infections. Contact teaching has been arranged recently only in necessary subjects using careful safety measures (e.g. laboratory teaching, practical and art subjects). The decision was made to protect the health of students and staff in the changing pandemic situation.
The suspension does not cover exams scheduled for this week, they can be arranged with more stringent safety measures. The safety arrangements of the exams must be discussed with the university’s security manager or the chair of the coronavirus monitoring group. Use of the University Library will be limited in January: it is possible only to borrow and return items.
In addition, the university has decided to interrupt the reception of exchange students until the end of April. The interruption does not apply to the students of international master’s degree programmes.
The university will assess the situation again on Friday.
