Dr Lämsä teaches in one of the Education in Finland courses and is one of the authors of the learning materials.

“The themes underlying all these courses – and also Finnish education overall – is the joy of learning and equal opportunities. That’s what we want to get across: how fostering respect for students works towards well-being and success of the whole society.”

Why the subheading, ‘Learning for Life’?

“We believe learning happens everywhere, all the time – and everyone has a right to it! We also think we have a lot to learn from each other. There are good practices everywhere. We encourage a mutual exchange of ideas, a sharing of best practices. These courses are our way of contributing to that dialogue,” says Dr Lämsä.
