Follow live: the Millennium Technology Prize ceremony and the Innovation Forum

The €1 million Millennium Technology Prize will be awarded on Tuesday 25 October at 6 p.m.

The international prize is awarded for technological innovation that improves people's quality of life and contributes to sustainable development. The Millennium Technology Prize will be awarded by the Technology Academy Foundation (TAF) and presented by President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö.

The prize is awarded every two years. The award ceremony will be broadcast live at:

On 2526 October, the award ceremony will be accompanied by the international Millennium Innovation Forum conference, which will bring together innovators, researchers and business leaders to discuss how technology and innovation can help solve global problems.

Speakers include Christo Grozev, lead investigator at Bellingcat, Marissa Mayer, Google's first female engineer, Takahiro Ueyama, Director of Japan's Science, Technology and Innovation Council, and Markku Kulmala, the world's leading atmospheric scientist.
