FORTHEM invites stakeholders to join the network
FORTHEM kicked off in the fall 2019 and since then, joint procedures have been created together with the seven partner universities. Members of FORTHEM are the universities of Jyväskylä, Palermo, Burgundy, València, Opole, Latvia and the coordinating Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. In addition to the academic community, FORTHEM has associated partners such as private companies, schools and other public institutions, associations and NGOs.
FORTHEM is in the Researchers Night event on 24.9.2021. Join the event to learn more about the possibilities that this network provides for different actors!
Several possibilities for companies and communities
Is your organization interested in research based collaboration projects or providing an internship for an international university student? Or are the teachers of your school interested in international projects with the Alliance or participate in different events? Is there some joint interface between your organization and FORTHEM actions or themes? Are you interested to cooperate with university researchers, for example in citizen science projects?
In FORTHEM, new ways of co-creation is being developed between higher education institutions, public, private and third sector. Involved are also FORTHEM Labs, expert networks consisting of university researchers, students and associated partners. There are altogether seven labs which work with current topics, such as digitization, climate & resources, food and health related topics from different aspects, migration & diversity, multilingualism and development of Europe.
Labs are seeking for new partners. Together with the partners, they aim to develop innovative solutions for the societal issues arising from the common needs. This is how both are able to strengthen their networks and actions in the international environment. Joint aim could be e.g., developing innovative, research based models, services or products.
During the fall 2021, FORTHEM organizes several workshops that are open for different actors. Practically, the ways of collaboration can be very diverse so don't hesitate to contact FORTHEM and suggest also new ways of collaboration!
