FORTHEM Researcher Grand Prix 2026 – apply by 18th August!
During the semifinal, each participant will present a four-minute pitch of their research project. The winner will travel to Poland to compete in the FORTHEM Researchers International Grand Prix 2026, and represent JYU, and Finland on the international stage. The travel expenses to Poland will be supported by FORTHEM Alliance primarily by a student travel grant.
How to participate?
In order to participate in the Semifinal of the Researcher Grand Prix at the University of Jyväskylä, you need to provide us with the following:
- Your contact information
- A text of no more than 150 words that clearly describes your research and what you are working on.
- A short introduction video (1-2 mins) where you present yourself and your project.
Submit your proposal before or on the 18th August at the latest via Webropol online application form.
We will choose 6-8 participants to take part in the semifinals from all the received applications. One finalist will be chosen to represent JYU in the FORTHEM final in Poland. The details and timetables will be provided later.

- JYU semifinalists selected by 30th August 2026
- JYU Semi Finalists will receive pitching coaching and presentation support throughout September
- JYU Researcher Grand Prix Semifinal and the selection of the finalist takes place in Paviljonki Conference Centre during Business Networking Day 8.10.2026
- Researcher Grand Prix 2026 in Opole, Poland, 21st October 2026.
