Get ready to apply to English-taught Master's programmes at JYU

In 2022, the University of Jyväskylä will offer 17 Master's Degree Programmes taught in English. Applicants are advised to prepare well in advance, for example for possible language tests. The next joint application period for the University of Jyväskylä's Master's programmes in English will be from 5 to 19 January 2022. The results will be published in April and studies will start in August-September. Application and admission data from the previous round can be found in the 2021 statistics.

Business and educational studies most popular programmes

In terms of the number of applicants, the most popular English-taught Master’s degree programmes at the University of Jyväskylä have previously been in the fields of business and economics, and education. JYU also offers international Master's programmes in humanities and social sciences, information technology, sports sciences and natural sciences.

Master's programmes are open to applicants with an appropriate lower university degree in Finland or abroad. Applicants must also demonstrate their knowledge of English as described in the admission criteria for the chosen Master's programme. The duration of the programmes is two years and the total number of study credits is 120 ECTS.
