JYU again on the list of the world’s best research universities
Last year the University’s position was 401–500. A detailed position is given only to the best 200 universities.
Research, its volume and funding, the influence of scientific publications and the university’s reputation in the global science community make 60% of the evaluation criteria. In total 13 performance indicators measure research, teaching (30%), international outlook (7.5%) and knowledge transfer with industry (2.5%).
“As for the indicators of education and research, the international reputation surveys by THE weight the most in the ranking. This means that long-term efforts in education and research, mobility and science communications are crucial,” says Vice Rector Henrik Kunttu.
