JYU continues its operations in accordance with the current COVID-19 policies
Contact teaching that is necessary in order to achieve learning outcomes will be arranged on the campus by following strict safety precautions. The vice dean responsible for education or the director of an independent institute will decide on contact teaching arranged on the campus. The maximum number of persons is 10 in contact teaching and 20 in exams.
Self-study facilities cannot be opened in the current situation. Up-to-date information on library services is available at https://kirjasto.jyu.fi/en.
JYU will not receive any new exchange students or interns from abroad before August and will review the situation again at the beginning of May.
Remote work will continue until the end of June and only necessary duties will take place on the campus.
Research activities will continue based on the research permits granted earlier. The earlier approval practices will be followed for new research permits. The vice rector responsible for research and innovations will make decisions on innovation activities that involve test subjects from outside the university.
It is extremely important that everyone follows the health authorities’ recommendations on, for example, face masks, safe distances and hygiene.
The University monitors the development of the epidemic situation nationally and regionally especially considering the possible effects of virus variants. The next situation estimation will be made by 9 April 2021.
