  • Facility-specific restrictions will be removed both from the university’s teaching, internal events and events organised by external parties. In addition, group sizes will not be limited.
  • Contact teaching in compliance with curriculum will be opened fully on the campus. Teaching will be arranged in manner that is as a pedagogically appropriate as possible, also making use of lecture recording when possible and meaningful for the implementation of the study unit.
  • JYU will take at the most 300 exchange students and international interns for the spring term.

The currently valid guidelines will be followed for the rest of 2021. The remote work recommendation is no more valid, and it is possible to use 75% of the capacity of facilities. It is possible to organise internal and external events of 150 persons in the university’s premises. Other familiar safety practices, including the use of face masks, remain valid. It is of primary importance not to come to the campus if you are ill or have symptoms.

More detailed instructions for the start of 2022 will be published after 13 December. The website of coronavirus instructions will be updated according to the new guidelines.
