Changes to coronavirus policies:

  • In summer, the opening hours of facilities deviate from normal and will be informed separately. More information is available here.
    • Come to campus only if you are healthy.
  • Gyms will be available for staff and students from 21 June. The summer programme of Academic Sports is valid until 31 August.
  • The occupancy restriction in teaching will be valid until the end of period 1 (from 1 August to 24 October 2021). During this time, the group size can be at the most around 50 persons.
  • From 21 June to 30 September, the maximum number of people in events is around 50. According to advance information, the situation will be assessed on 12 August and the starting point of planning is that the limitation will be 300 people in October and 500 from November.
  • Collecting information on visitors and staff working on the campus can be stopped from 21 June.
  • From 21 June, facilities can be rented to external parties for events of at the most 30 persons. Larger events organised by the university or in cooperation with partners can be implemented from 1 July by agreeing on the event separately. A health and safety plan (coming up in English) must be created for such events.
  • The policies for travelling abroad and entry to Finland will be specified at the earliest in August after the Government’s new decisions.
  • Public examinations of doctoral dissertations can be held on the campus following the restriction of 50 people and safety instructions. It is recommended to organise the event in facilities in which it is possible to have 50 people in compliance with health security requirements.

If the pandemic situation does not essentially change, policies for September and October will be decided on 12 August and 31 August.
