JYU.Wisdom is looking for 1-2 communication interns
JYU.Wisdom is an interdisciplinary, cross-faculty community within the University of Jyväskylä whose mission is planetary well-being. We are now looking for one or two communication interns to plan and develop the community's communication.
The interns' tasks may include, for example, the production of visual materials (e.g., designing and creating the visual materials for a scientific congress) and developing JYU.Wisdom's external communication in various ways. The specific tasks will be agreed upon based on the selected individuals' interests and skills. The internship may also include daily communication tasks, such as writing press releases and news, producing content for digital channels, organizing events, and photography. JYU.Wisdom currently uses the following communication channels: website, email list, and Teams. We are switching our social media channel from X to LinkedIn.
We particularly value interest in visual communication, fluent writing skills, ability to take initiative, and interest in sustainability themes. Fluency in Finnish is not required, but language skills may be considered in the selection process. We may also considered it an advantage if you have already completed JYU.Wisdom's planetary well-being MOOC courses.
How to apply
The internship duration is at least 2 months. The exact timing and duration will be agreed upon with the intern, but we hope you can start in June. Part-time work is possible, in which case the internship duration will be extended.
The intern's salary is approximately 1,450 €/month (full-time).

JYU.Wisdom brings together researchers, students, and other individuals interested in planetary well-being and various sustainability themes, enabling cross-disciplinary networking and collaboration. We promote planetary well-being through research, education development, and societal interaction, and support the University of Jyväskylä's sustainability efforts.
JYU.Wisdom is led by Professor Janne Kotiaho. Our team includes an operative coordinator, a research coordinator, an education coordinator, as well as active community members and project workers. The communication intern will work together with the coordinators and under their guidance.
