The forthcoming renovations affect the use of teaching facilities in the next academic year already.

Ambiotica building
The Phase 2 (Ambiotica building) construction work is expected to start in August 2023. The construction works performed in the YAA-YAC parts of the Ambiotica building are space changes and maintenance repairs. YAD will be renovated and expanded so that Department of Chemistry can also use the space.

Teaching laboratories of the Ambiotica will temporarily move to the Department of Chemistry. The maintenance work of Auditorium YAA303 is tentatively scheduled from April to October on year 2024. The construction works can also have an impact on the use of auditorium and other teaching facilities of the Ambiotica. Although some noise may be unavoidable, it can often be controlled. The Tuma and the student organization space can operate in current facilities. A large part of Ambiotica's laboratory will move to temporary facilities at YAD, and part of the laboratory will operate in its current premises during the construction work. The offices can be found temporary in Ylistönrinne and Mattilanniemi.

Nanoscience Center
The teaching room on the 1st floor of Nanoscience Center goes out of use at the end of the year. Planning within the project will be specified gradually. There will also be restrictions on movement on campus during the construction work.

Restaurants
Restaurant services run normally despite the constructions. The construction effects are minor and will become more detailed during the spring of 2023.

The figure below shows a more detailed schedule for Phase 2.

Have a nice and peaceful Christmas time!
