Linjaukset lauteilla: Digilunch event organised by Innovative Learning Environments

On June 4, Agora hosted Linjaukset lauteilla, a digilunch event exploring artificial intelligence, data, and decision-making in education. The digilunch was organized as part of the EduData project’s policy discussion series. The event was aimed at key stakeholders in educational decision-making and everyday school operations, such as principals, directors of education, and school secretaries.

The digilunch offered timely insights into the digitalization of education. The discussion focused on schools’ readiness to adopt artificial intelligence, how evolving EU regulations can be communicated effectively to schools, and how data can be used to support decision-making at both municipal and school levels. Participants also had the opportunity to discuss potential collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä in upcoming Erasmus and Horizon funding calls.

Participants in the digital lunch also took part in a research survey. In summary, schools have partial guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence, but many aspects are still in the planning phase.
