More stringent coronavirus restrictions: self-study facilities closed on the campus, exams organised with safety arrangements, Academic Sports activities interrupted
The more stringent instructions for teaching and exams are valid from 1 December to the end of the autumn term (31 December 2020). Other instructions are valid until further notice.
Teaching and internships
To achieve learning outcomes, necessary contact teaching (e.g. laboratory teaching, teaching of practical and art subjects) can be organised with more stringent safety arrangements: the teaching facility is used so that there is a safety distance of at least two metres between people, the teacher provides face masks for participants, the participants are recommended to use masks. The faculties and independent institutes define what is necessary contact teaching.
Ongoing internships can be continued and new ones started if it is possible for the internship place. The instructions of the internship place and valid safety instructions must be followed during an internship.
In issues related to studies, please contact the course teacher and, when necessary, the education coordinator or study counsellor.
Exams
Exams can be arranged with more stringent safety arrangements: the exam facility is used so that there is a safety distance of two metres between people, the number of participants in one room is maximum 20 persons, access to the facilities is arranged so that crowdedness can be avoided in lobbies, etc., and the teacher provides face masks for participants. Exam participants are strongly recommended to use face masks.
The e-exam facility is kept open. The use of face masks is recommended in the facility.
Self-study facilities closed on the campus
Self-study facilities on the campus are closed until further notice. In addition, it is not possible to study or stay in lobbies, cafés and cafeterias on the campus. Exception to this is study facilities (such as computer classes), if it is necessary to use software that are available only in the facilities. Library services maintain open. Cafeteria services are open on the campus, the opening hours may change.
Use of face masks and safety instructions
When operating and moving on the campus, it is responsible behaviour to use face masks. The university strongly recommends to use face masks also in free time and to install the Koronavilkku app.
Academic Sports and hobby activities
All gatherings and events on the campus are minimised and, for example, the activities of hobby groups and Academic Sports are interrupted until further notice.
