The Researchers’ Night programme of the University of Jyväskylä is now published. As in previous years, we offer a variety of programme for all ages. Would you like to discover the secrets of mycorrhiza or play a virtual zombie escape game? What kind of a job is to be a music researcher? Would you like to peek behind the doors of the Nanoscience Center? Not to forget old favourites such as pops and flashes at the Department of Chemistry, radiation at the Accelerator Laboratory and more.

For pupil groups of all ages, there will be online and live programme where scientists will introduce schoolchildren to the latest achievements in science. Researchers’ Night is a fun and inspiring way to celebrate science for preschoolers, schoolchildren and people of any age.

In addition to trying yourself, you can also come and listen to experts’ lectures in the Martti Ahtisaari Hall in Agora. Topics vary from physical exercise and wellbeing to genetics and the history of Jyväskylä. The lectures will also be streamed on the online platform.

As usual, the Researchers’ Night is organised in collaboration with the City of Light event. There will be magnificent light artwork on the Ylistönrinne campus and on the wall of the Agora building from 23 September to 2 October.
