Student, do you want to learn languages? Take part in Each One Teach One pair programme!
Would you like to study languages...
- … by aiming to your own, individual goals?
- … flexibly, at your own pace?
- … by using materials that you have chosen by yourself?
Each One Teach One (EOTO) is a 3-credit pair programme, where you learn a language with a pair while learning about the culture as well. Students help each other to learn their mother tongue (or school language) and culture.
A language teacher’s proficiency nor any other teacher’s proficiency is not required from the students participating in EOTO. During the programme you meet with your partner regularly, usually once or twice a week. Each language should be studied for at least 20 hours face to face (20+20 hours).
Movi’s teachers guide the EOTO-students and meet them at least two times during the programme. In addition, the course includes reflecting on your learning with short reports and a learning diary (blog).
In EOTO, each student is responsible for their own learning as well as learning materials. In addition to pair working, EOTO is all about independent studying and its planning.
Want to hear more about EOTO? Come and meet the EOTO supervisors on Thursday 7.9. at 2.15-3.15 p.m. at Oppio O103/104 Language Lounge or send an e-mail to eototeachers@ulc.jyu.fi
