The opening ceremony on Wed, 2 September affect access routes and the café’s opening hours at the Lähde Library

The coffee reception following the university’s opening ceremony will take place in the Lähde building on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, starting at 1 pm. This will result in changes to the café's opening hours and to customer routes in the building.

  • Cafe Tiede is closed from 12 noon to 3.30 pm.
  • The main doors of Lähde will be closed to the public between 1 pm and 3 pm. These doors are reserved exclusively for participants in the academic procession and guests attending the coffee reception (advance registration required).
  • Between 1 pm and 3 pm, customers are directed to use the side entrance B3 on the building T side. 
  • The floors of Lähde can be accessed via stairs or lift.
  • The internal door between Lähde entrance hall and the restaurant Taide will be closed while preparations for the coffee reception are underway, and during the coffee reception itself.
