THE-ranking 2025: University of Jyväskylä again among the best research universities in the world
In total, 2,092 of the world's top universities were included in the comparison. There were 10 Finnish universities included, of which the University of Jyväskylä was ranked 7th.
The university's ranking was the same as in last year's list. A detailed position is given only to the best 200 universities. The best universities in the world in this comparison were the University of Oxford in the UK, and MIT and Harvard University in the US.
Research, its volume and funding, the influence of scientific publications and the university’s reputation in the global science community make 60% of the evaluation criteria. The University of Jyväskylä received the best scores in the research environment and research quality sections.
There are 18 performance indicators in total, measuring not only research but also teaching, international outlook and knowledge transfer with industry.
