In arts and humanities, JYU was ranked in the 201–250 range, among the best universities in the world. The position remained the same as in 2021. Among Finnish universities, JYU came third.

For business and economics, physical sciences, and social sciences, JYU ranked in the 301–400 range. The ranking for computer science was 401–500, and in the category of clinical, pre-clinical and health, JYU ranked in the 501–600 range.

In these assessments, publishing activity and internationalisation receive the most weight.”
