The University of Jyväskylä is looking for an investment manager through a restricted tender procedure

To arrive at a shortlist for the restricted tender the University of Jyväskylä invites qualified companies to submit their expressions of interest to Patrik Louko, Chief Investment Officer at the University of Jyväskylä by April 22, 2024. The expression of interest should not be longer than 10 slides/pages.
Successful companies will be invited to participate in the tender by May 20, 2024. Final tenders must be received no later than August 1, 2024.
The interested party must show compliance with all legal requirements necessary for operating in Finland at the time of submission.
The expression of interest should show:
- a proven track record
- an explanation of how the applicant would comply with JYU’s impact objectives and principles, and how their achievement will be tracked and reported
- that the funds, when invested in publicly traded stocks or direct derivatives of these, can attain an inflation adjusted rate of return of 7% or more within an investment horizon of 10 years
- why the proposed investment strategy provides the highest risk adjusted returns in expected, pessimistic and optimistic market scenarios
- a risk analysis combined with potential risk mitigation strategies such as downside protection in volatile markets (optional)
- the compensation structure and alignment with objectives (returns and impact).
The manager can use their own discretion in formulating the investment strategy without any limitations to the size, geography, focus or other variables.
