Necessary contact teaching includes teaching in which learning outcomes cannot be achieved through remote teaching. An additional requirement for arranging contact teaching is that in can be implemented by maintaining health security. If remote teaching or an implementation with health security is not possible, the teaching must be rescheduled. When needed, faculties and independent institutes will outline more detailed necessity criteria for their operations, utilising earlier experiences on the implementation of remote teaching during the pandemic.

Otherwise, the Rector’s decision on 3 December 2021, and the specifying instructions based on the decision, will be followed.

JYU will keep on monitoring the development of the pandemic situation and, if necessary, the policies will be reviewed before the start of the term.
