University of Jyväskylä included in the list of the world's best research universities

In total, 1 904 of the world's top universities were included in the comparison. There were 10 Finnish universities included, of which the University of Jyväskylä was ranked 7th.
The university's ranking was the same as in last year's list. A detailed position is given only to the best 200 universities. The best universities in the world in this comparison were the University of Oxford in the UK and Stanford University and MIT in the US.
Research, its volume and funding, the influence of scientific publications and the university’s reputation in the global science community make 60% of the evaluation criteria. The University of Jyväskylä ranked best in the research category, in 361st place.
There are 18 performance indicators in total, measuring not only research but also teaching, international outlook and knowledge transfer with industry.
