Welcome to the most fun sports event of the fall – sign up for the uMove Fun Run
Participation is free for all students and staff of the University of Jyväskylä and JAMK. The event features two categories that start at the same time: a timed category and a non-timed "fun category".

Registration for the timed race closes on September 4 at 11:59 p.m., and registration for the non-timed category closes on September 7 at 11:59 p.m.
In the timed category, the Finlandia Marathon will provide you with your time for the 5 km distance. The first 500 entrants will be accepted into this category. There is no timekeeping at all in the fun category, and it is open to all registered participants.
Come and get moving in your own style
At the uMove Fun Run, you can complete the 5-kilometer route at your own pace by running, jogging, walking or even dancing. You’re welcome to attend on your own, but we encourage you to invite your classmates, coworkers, team, subject association, student organization, or any other group to join you.
There’ll also be some light-hearted competition. During the event, prizes will be awarded for the best vibe and the fastest times, and a prize will be raffled off amongst the participating units and organisations. So challenge your own group to join in and see if you’re the most enthusiastic group!
Part of the higher education sports community
uMove Fun Run is organized in collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä, JAMK, the City of Jyväskylä, and uMove, the joint sports community of Jyväskylä’s higher education institutions. The event strengthens cooperation among higher education institutions while supporting Jyväskylä’s goal of becoming Finland’s “Capital of Sports.”
