My current research interests are as follows: •Acid-Base Balance and Exercise •Nutrition and Exercise •Immunology and Exercise At this moment I am the main supervisor for two PhD students Enni-Maria Hietavala (born Nurminen), and Johanna Ihalainen (birth Stenholm). I am also at this moment supervising several graduate and candidate theses. Research results will be published in international scientific journals and in Finnish sport magazines and in books. The important media is also www.urheilututkimukset.fi. The research is important both for sport people and for ordinary people in different ages because of optimal / maximal physical performance and good health.
