I am a doctoral researcher at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. My research brings Indigenous organizing into dialogue with contemporary management theory to expand theoretical understandings of how organizations address socioecological responsibilities, especially in Indigenous contexts shaped by resource extraction. Drawing on empirical insights from Sub-Saharan Africa, I examine how Indigenous organizing informs new approaches to organizational stewardship, sustainability, and value creation in complex socioecological systems.
With a background in agricultural economics and experience in entrepreneurship and business consulting, I adopt an interdisciplinary approach that bridges management scholarship with societal challenges. I welcome collaborations with scholars and practitioners working on sustainability, Indigenous organizing, organization & natural environment, entrepreneurship, and responsible management.
My research sits at the intersection of organization studies, management theory, sustainability, and Indigenous organizing, with particular interests in stewardship, relational capabilities, regenerative organizing, and the governance of socioecological systems. Through this work, I seek to develop theoretical insights that expand existing understandings of organization, capability, and value creation in complex socioecological systems.
