Biography
I work as a University Teacher at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, where I primarily teach quantitative research methods to Bachelor's and Master's students. I also run a Master's thesis clinic on quantitative research methods and serve as a member of the faculty's statistical support team.
Research interests
I hold a PhD in Health Sciences, specializing in Gerontology and Public Health. My doctoral research (under the name Emmi Reinilä) focused on psychological development in adulthood, with a particular emphasis on mental well-being and generativity and their associations with health and retirement preferences. The research was based on data from the Jyväskylä Longitudinal Study of Personality and Social Development (JYLS). My research interests include psychological factors and mental well-being across the life course.
