Essi Pirnes

I have worked as a University teacher in Department of Education at Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius since 2020.  I have coordinated blended learning programs in early childhood education (the 1000+ and 75+ projects). The topics I teach include the pedagogical expertise of ECE teachers, leading the pedagogical work of a team, as well as educational collaboration and multidisciplinary and multiprofessional cooperation. I also supervise bachelor’s theses.

The topic of my dissertation is the leadership of a team’s pedagogical activities. My other research interests include, among other things, teamwork in early childhood education and early childhood teacher education.
