Hanna Ahola
Biography
I work as a specialist in student wellbeing at our university, where my job description includes teaching wellbeing skills as part of students' orientation studies, as well as enhanced guidance for students, where I offer support to students on differentiated student wellbeing issues. Areas of special expertise include challenges related to concentration and executive functions, self-regulation skills, lifestyle and life management issues, interpersonal communication, physical health, as well as career planning and working life issues.
I teach well-being skills as part of students’ orientation studies and serve as the university’s substance abuse liaison. In addition, I participate in student health consultations and address issues related to unsuitability in SORA fields.
My job description also includes the promotion of staff guidance skills (student wellbeing and study ability), as well as the development, maintenance and coordination of Hyvis- activities.
