Biography

Heikki Karjaluoto is a Professor at the Faculty of Information Technology. He is Vice Dean of Research. He teaches in the Technology Management program. His research is in the intersection of technology and business. Karjaluoto has published extensively in business and information system journals and is the author of several books. He has collaborated with several researchers both in Finland and abroad and actively co-operates with companies in joint research and development projects.

He has won numerous research and teaching awards (see Awards below) including several Best Teacher Awards and Best paper awards.

Research interests

The change in customer behavior and a deep understanding of customers are the cornerstones of a successful business. His research aims to enhance the understanding of customer behavior, particularly in digital channels and the IT context in general.
