Biography

--

I help organizations use communication, behavioral insights, and social marketing to address societal challenges, support behavior change, and promote well-being. At the heart of my work are listening to and understanding people, and developing solutions together with them.

I am a University Lecturer in Corporate Communication at Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics and a Docent in Social Marketing at the University of Eastern Finland.

Areas of expertise: Social Marketing | Strategic Communication | Behavior Change | Behavioral Insights | Health Promotion | Health Communication | Digital Health Services

I collaborate with organizations in research and development projects and expert roles. I also provide training and give expert talks and keynote presentations. My recent work has focused particularly on social marketing, health and audience-centered communication, and the use of behavioral insights to improve communication effectiveness. I have collaborated with organizations including the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, municipalities, wellbeing services counties, and national development programmes, and have served on steering groups for several projects.

I am currently leading the University of Jyväskylä's contribution to the PEP project. We bring the perspectives of children and parents into the development process and strengthen cross-sector collaboration to promote children's physical activity and balanced nutrition.

I also serve as the Finnish representative of the European Social Marketing Association (ESMA).
