Biography

I am a doctoral candidate in the Cognitive Science research group. My research sits at the intersection of human–computer interaction and cognitive neuroscience, investigating how people perceive and process visual symbols in digital interfaces and the neural mechanisms that underlie this process. Through a combination of behavioural experiments and magnetoencephalography (MEG), I examine how the semantic and aesthetic properties of interface icons shape their cognitive and neural representation in the human brain.

Research interests

My broader research interests concern the cognitive and psychological mechanisms through which people make sense of visual information in human–technology interaction. Integrating methods from experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience, I explore how perceptual, semantic, and affective factors jointly shape comprehension, decision-making, and user experience in interactive contexts.
